It's amazing how I can easily forget about the 40 million other items that exist in my closet once I purchase the item that I'd been "looking for all my life."
Because this skirt is so awesome, I want to wear it all the time but because it's such a unique item that is easily recognizable, I'm really trying to hold off from over-wearing it before it's able to really feel at home in my closet. #ItsAProblem

All the wild things are right here in this sweater! When I saw it at Talbots I KNEW I HAD to have it! It's different, no? Typically I'm used to seeing cheetah/leopard print or zebra as the most represented in stores, so when I saw this, I melted. I used to be compared to a giraffe (tall & long-legged) so now I can embody the nickname in a more literal sense. ;)
*I'm starting to get backed up, but I'm going to work hard to get CAUGHT up. I have about 3 outfit posts that I haven't been able to post because my workload has increased 10-fold. Yesterday was my first day of school and it was AWESOME! I love my kids. I honestly have the most amazing group but the school as a whole is amazing.

Yes, classroom chic. Because this girl right here *points at self* is a teacher!!!! *and the crowd goes wild* AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! This goes out to my 12th grade AP Calculus AB teacher who looked at me one day and said, "Stephanie, you should be a teacher." She must've seen something in me that, at the time, I hadn't seen in myself but now it's seeping from my pores. Hip-hip Hooray!!!!
Ok, I'm calm now. Yes, I am officially a co-teacher at the best school in Albany and I will be teaching 8th grade math starting Monday. *raises roof* If my excitement isn't oozing off this page, then I must be doing something incredibly wrong. Hehe. Most of my students will call me Ms. U. The elite will aim for the full Ms. Ukpere. I'll let you know how many get it right.
This is what I wore to my first day of Professional Development (PD). My goal was to embody the 3 C's: cool, comfortable and CUTE! I was cool. I was comfortable. And I sure think I was cute! How did I do?!
I look tired in many of the pictures...that's because I was. I tried, but obviously failed, to hide it. I'll do better next time, I promise!

As some of you may have noticed, in my recent posts, I have been sporting a LOT of Talbots items. It's hard not to shop at the place you work (especially when so many of the items are of such great quality and structure!). So, when I found this strawberry sweater folded perfectly and singing sweetly in my direction, I knew I had to add it to my never ending collection.
I knew the exact outfit I wanted to wear with the sweater, too. Only issue: I didn't even have the skirt in my closet. I literally purchased the skirt JUST so I could wear it with the sweater. Am I bad or what? (Don't answer that!)
But... seriously... how CUTE is it? One of my co-workers said she'd start calling me strawberry TALL-cake! Haha!
