What I'm Wearing
Ivory Teardrop Earrings: ALDO
Gold Shell Necklace: (gift)
Hot Pink Polka Dot Blouse: Heritage 1981 ($??)
Teal Pants: H&M ($15)
Cream Oxfords: Crown Vintage (my sister's closet)

I'm a corn, what are you gonna do? The title of this post is my rendition of a Jay-Z throwback track that I, shamelessly, enjoy. Contrary to my title, I actually didn't cut the shoulders off... I bought the blouse just like that. Surprise! Hehehe...

I wore this outfit about a week ago to help out at the best elementary school in Albany, NY. (That's the yellow building I'm standing next to!) I wore the bralet underneath the blouse because it was a tad too sheer for a school setting, but the bralet fixed that right up!

What I'm Wearing
Necklace, Earrings & Bracelets: Forever 21
Chambray Button Down: H&M ($5)
Floral Tube Top: (my friend, Roxy's closet)
Hot Pink Pleated Midi Skirt: H&M ($10)
White/Mint Leather Oxfords: Steve Madden ($18)

I've always felt that midi skirts were an awkward length for me, but for some strange reason, I'm so drawn to them. I own four (a blue one, a slate gray one, a black one with a floral trim design and this hot pink pleated one) and until this outfit, I've only ever worn the blue one. Even then, when I had worn it, I wasn't the biggest fan of the outfit, but I did enjoy trying something new and it was super comfortable!

I decided to take a step into the midi realm once again, and still, I am not a big fan of this outfit. I've had this skirt for months and I finally took the tag off to wear it. I do love the colors, especially for the rainy day that this day turned out to be, but there's something about it... *thinking hard* Maybe it's because I'm wearing midi skirts with flats and not heels. That could very well be it! Hmm... now I'll know what to do next time! Would you wear a midi skirt? If so, how would you style it? And if you've worn one before, how have you styled it? If you've blogged about it, show me! I'd love to let other people see as well, just in case they want to experiment, too!

P.S. I loved this hair while I had it, but this is the last outfit post I'll have with it! (Until I show you all the outfits you missed while I was away via Instagram!) Back to my natural hair!

What I'm Wearing
Spike Drop Earrings: F21 ($2)
Gold Leaf Clamp Bracelet: ASOS
Rings: F21 & my mom's collection
Assorted Bangles: F21 & ALDO
Colorful Striped Blazer: eBay ($1 + $3 shipping)
Leopard/Cheetah Print Tank: River Island ($11)
Black Trouser Leggings: H&M ($19)
Black Suede Booties: Bakers (from my sister's closet. now a gift ^_^)

This leopard/cheetah (I can't tell the difference) print top--along with 3 other items--marks my first purchase from River Island and I think I found a new love! I perused through the sale section and found 4 items I couldn't live without! (All within my price range too!) This top was one and I'm sure you can tell why I love it so much! Leopard and cheetah print is very popular but usually the first thing that comes to mind is the spots/skin as the print. This top uses the actual animal is the print. How lovely!

I bought this blazer from eBay back in August and this is my first time wearing it out. I had to rip out the shoulder pads because they created a harsh boxy silhouette, one that I liked, but couldn't pull off since my bottom half isn't the curviest. Without the shoulder pads, the blazer is definitely a more relaxed fit, with a hint of shoulder structure. Love!

Plus: I got my first pink heart on Lookbook with this outfit! Yay! :D

What I'm Wearing
Earrings: Gold Stud (H&M) Long Leaf Dangle: (F21)
Necklace: F21 ($2)
Black Scarf (on head): (gift)
Hot Pink Oversized Sweater: Delia's (my sister's closet)
Lavender Oversized Sweater: VS PINK (my sister's closet)
Black Harem Pants: F21 ($15)
Mid Calf Leather Boots: Guess ($40)

I really wanted to take on the less visted and coveted trend of sweatpants and heels. Call me crazy if you like, but one day I will find the perfect pair of sweats to help me embrace this trend! I bought a pair from H&M and hoped it would work, but it was too short =/ so I substituted them for these wonderful harem pants. Not quite the look I was going for, but I ended up loving it.

I don't know how I came up with the idea of layering the oversized sweaters but I love the pop they gave this outfit.

This outfit is super comfortable. The jersey material of the pants make me feel like air when I'm wearing them. It's amazing. Comfortable chic for the win!

What I'm Wearing
Pink & Cream Scarves: eBay ($3) & F21 ($6)
Red Cashmere Scarf: Grandoe (old & Mom's)
Necklace: ALDO ($7)
Cream Top: Old Navy ($9)
Red "Boyfriend" Jeans: H&M Mens ($20)
Hot Pink Cardigan: UK French Connection (?)
Tan Textured Tights: H&M ($12)
Taupe Booties: I.N.C. Shoes ($21)

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! Whether you're spending it with the man or woman you love, your siblings, your parents, your friends, or yourself, remember that today is all about love! If you find yourself feeling down, find the brightest red and a nice shade of pink that compliments it in your closet, put them on and paint yourself a beautiful smile. It might be hard, but after appearing happy, you'll start to feel happy!

I don't think I've ever been so festively dressed for a Valentine's day in my life--with the exception of primary school when those heart patterned henleys were all the rave--and I don't even have plans for tonight. I was stopped twice on my campus (by two different campus journalists) who correctly assumed that I was feeling the Valentine's Day spirit but incorrectly assumed that I had plans for the night. That made me giggle.
