What I'm Wearing
Ankara Headwrap: gift from Mom
Earrings, Orange Ring + Teal & Gold Bracelet: ALDO | Necklace: diva.net.au | Brown Bracelet: Borrowed from mi amor
Teal Flower Ring: old | Ankara Flower Pin: DIY gift | Zebra Pin: gift from Mom
Linen Blazer UKFrenchConnection
Cream Blouse: H&M
Purple Pants: H&M
Teal Flats: Qupid from PacSun

I love being Nigerian and I love my culture and all the beauties that come with it. Especially Ankara fabrics and patterns.

The spice that these little Ankara accents (my head wrap and my flower pin) add to my outfit is on fire! I just wish I had more pieces that I could incorporate with my "everyday" clothing. Usually when I get a traditional outfit (dress or skirt & blouse), it's usually too over-the-top and extravagant for school or work.

One of the things on my bucket list is to learn how to sew... even if just using simple sewing patterns to create circle skirts and pants. Once I pick up and develop that skill, I will be unstoppable! *insert maniacal laugh* Mwahahahahahahahaha

What I'm Wearing
Earrings: ALDO | Cuff: F21
Chiffon Dress: H&M ($15) (worn as dress)
Cropped Pants: LOFT ($24)
Leopard Loafers: Steve Madden ($30)
Bronze Handbag: H&M

Purple, the color of royalty, creativity, and wisdom (among many other things), just so happens to be my favorite color. I don't recall how young I was when I made this final decision, but I do remember my favorite color fluctuating between red and blue for a couple of years...so it's only right that I chose the combination of both! Right? :)

It is believed by some (including me, at times) that the colors you wear can have a certain effect on your mood. I try to stay away from dark hues when I'm feeling down and these bright purple pants were the perfect pair to pick me up! During the shoot of my last outfit, I also discovered that I enjoy a blog shoot ten fold when I have background music going! So, I threw on my favorite Azonto tunes and did what I do best.

My friend, Denzel, (who helped me photograph this outfit a, somewhat, long time ago) helped me out again! And the cool thing is that he has a fashion blog, too! He is on the come-up. He's fairly new to blogging, so we've agreed to help each other out. He'll take my photos and I'll take his! You should check out his blog, too! Show him some Chocolate Laced Love! ♥

Don't forget to enter my giveaway if you haven't already! It's easy to enter and TWO will win!

What I'm Wearing
Leather Jacket: H&M (gift)
Fur Vest: H&M ($15)
Gold Scarf: H&M | Head Scarf: gift from Mom | Earrings: CR | Belt: Wet Seal
Gold Buttoned Blouse: H&M ($7.50)
Purple Pants: H&M ($5)
Tan Loafers: endless.com ($22)

You're probably asking yourself, "Did what again?" That is, if you haven't already figured it out from the pictures. I wore my leather jakcet again! For, what seems like, the billionth time already! I don't even try to keep it a secret that I obviously favor certain items in my closet over others. I did try to spruce it up though! I threw on my fur vest over it to try something different. Something "edgy". I need a new favorite jacket. Until then... I hope over-wearing/blogging doesn't offend or break any rules of "fashion/style blogging" and if it does: rules were made to be broken. ;)

What I'm Wearing
Cream Blazer: H&M ($26)
Printed Blouse: thrifted vintage ($2)
Black Leather Full Skirt: H&M ($24)
Purple Tights: (gift)
Green Socks: (old)
Cream Oxfords: Crown Vintage

It's officially fall! So, you know what that means for my closet? Time to bring out the tights, socks, and major layering. As much as I love the fall, the bipolarity of the weather kills me. Summer in the morning and winter at night is enough to get a woman sick! (I've already fallen sick one and a half times in the past two months. I bet you're wondering what is consdiered "half a time" of sickness. Haha.)

Oh! I love this skirt, but it's looking a bit wrinkled. Does anyone know how to get wrinkles out of leather? I know I can't iron it, and I don't have a steamer =/. Help meee!

P.S. Yesterday was Nigerian Independence Day! But, since I schedule my posts, my outfit will be blogged a week from now! Happy Independence Day to all my Nigerians!!
