What I'm Wearing
Pink & Cream Scarves: eBay ($3) & F21 ($6)
Red Cashmere Scarf: Grandoe (old & Mom's)
Necklace: ALDO ($7)
Cream Top: Old Navy ($9)
Red "Boyfriend" Jeans: H&M Mens ($20)
Hot Pink Cardigan: UK French Connection (?)
Tan Textured Tights: H&M ($12)
Taupe Booties: I.N.C. Shoes ($21)

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! Whether you're spending it with the man or woman you love, your siblings, your parents, your friends, or yourself, remember that today is all about love! If you find yourself feeling down, find the brightest red and a nice shade of pink that compliments it in your closet, put them on and paint yourself a beautiful smile. It might be hard, but after appearing happy, you'll start to feel happy!

I don't think I've ever been so festively dressed for a Valentine's day in my life--with the exception of primary school when those heart patterned henleys were all the rave--and I don't even have plans for tonight. I was stopped twice on my campus (by two different campus journalists) who correctly assumed that I was feeling the Valentine's Day spirit but incorrectly assumed that I had plans for the night. That made me giggle.

You wouldn't believe me if I said it, but I did not plan to do this Bloggers Do It Better (BDIB) challenge. It completely slipped my mind! But I loved my outfit today, so I asked one of my besties to take pictures for me! Different setting, see? I'm not on my deck, I'm on one of the campus' quads! And I just happened to be wearing an animal print! Yay! It all worked out!

School has been extremely stressful which is my reason for not posting as often as I want to. I'm trying my hardest to balance everything, but when you love one thing more than the other, you tend to put my heart and effort into that, right? Or is it just me?

What I'm Wearing
Leopard Scarf: H&M ($8)
Black Boyfriend Blazer: Material Girl for Macy*s ($13)
Necklace: H&M ($8)
Turquoise Bracelet: Forever 21 ($5)
Leaf Cuff Bracelet: (my sister's closet)
Cobalt Blue Blouse: Old Navy ($18)
Striped Shirt: Forever 21 ($6)
White Skinny Belt: H&M (3 for $10; $3 ea)
Turquoise/Teal Pants: H&M ($15)
White Leather Oxfords: Steve Madden ($17)
TOTAL: $93

This outfit is a little on the pricey side compared to what I'm used to! It surprised me when I added things up; I cringed a little bit. But I have a little surprise for you all...

I have my Afro back! Yup!

You ladies (and gentlemen) are all lovely and beautiful people! Thank you for following my blog! It's only been 4 months and I already feel and see the growth in my sense of style and the way I think when getting dressed. Thank you!

Welcome to my Arm Party! *cue music* This is my first Bloggers Do It Better Challenge: Arm Party! If you saw my first closet preview post, you probably already know that I have the proper equipment for an off the hook arm party! Here's how I did it:

I knew that my outfit had to be camp friendly. "Camp friendly" means my shorts must be a reasonable fit and length, so I immediately pulled out these tailored shorts. They're very lightweight and can be worn high or low. I love pairing stripes with strappy sandals just for the artistic feel of it. As for how I chose my jewelry, I picked one item (the ladybug watch necklace) and worked around it.

What I'm Wearing
Ladybug Watch Necklace: Forever 21 (my sister's closet)
Bird Claw Necklace: CR (my sister's closet)
Striped Top: (gift)
Tailored Shorts: (gift)
Gladiator Sandals: Shoe Dept ($15)
Ring: CR (my sister's closet)
Arm Party: 2 from my sister's closet & the rest from Icing ($6 total)
Cuff Bracelet: Forever 21($6)
TOTAL: $27

I'm completely in love with the leopard beaded bracelet. My sister gave it to me because her wrist is too thick for it. It's one of the most unique (and affordable!) pieces of jewelry that I've seen in a while!

I tried to keep my arm party tame and sophisticated with a slight touch of wild. I don't have much color in my collection, but I can guarantee a change in that by this time next year.

I want to thank all my new followers and readers! I don't know what brought you here, but hopefully I do my job in keeping you here. Remember, if you have any questions, feedback, suggestions, or offers please don't hesitate to contact me! I have a form that is very easy to fill out and I'm very open to hear from you all! Thanks once again! I hope you enjoyed my arm party!
