What I'm Wearing
Tan Linen Blazer: UK French Connection ($12)
Bracelet & Bangles: Charming Charlie ($3) & Forever 21 ($6)
Ring: Forever 21 (??)
Tank Dress (worn as top): Forever 21 ($14)
Blue Pleated Skirt: thrifted ($2.50)
Brown Saddle Belt: H&M ($1)
Cream Thigh-High Socks: Forever 21 ($6)
Brown Strappy Sandals: H&M ($1) Yea, I said it. ONE DOLLAR!

Whether tis nobler in the fashion blogger's heart to...just kidding! I read Shakespeare in high school and I wasn't the biggest fan. Believe it or not, I had to memorize that entire "To be or not to be" spiel and recite it in front of the class. Not. Fun. Anywho... What would you do? Heel it? Or no...

I ask because I meant to "heel it". These shoes are amazingly comfortable and I'd been looking for the perfect outfit to wear them with ever since I bought them about a year ago. I finally got the right outfit and...well, you see, what had happened was...

I walk to school everyday and, on this day, I was running late. It's normally a 25 minute walk and heels (of any kind) will always slow me down. I didn't want to be too late to class, so I threw on my oxfords and walked to school. I made it to class right on time, too! POW. BUT, I never got the chance to change back into the heels =/. I put them on for the post though because the outfit is so lovely with them! It's pretty cute without them, too, so I wasn't too disappointed.

So, I ask again: To heel, or not to heel?

Beige Blazer: Casual Corner thrifted ($3!!)
White Chain Print Blouse:thrifted (gift) (also worn here)
Red Cropped Pants: H&M ($15)

Hello again everyone! After not posting at all in August, which I sincerely apologize for, I am back! And when I say I'm back, I'm REALLY back. I have so much in store for my blog it's super exciting and I can't wait to share it with you all. I'm sure you'll love it too!

I had such a GREAT summer! I'll try to cover the highlights briefly:
-I had a phenomenal time at summer camp.
-That's yarn in my hair! Isn't it cool!?
-I finally saw The Lion King on Broadway!
-I made amazing connections with amazing people.
-I went thrifting and found some WONDERFUL finds (like this blazer!). I should do a post to share those with you, huh?
-I bought something, but shh! It's a secret. I'll reveal it to you later!

One day during my week of downtime after camp ended and before school started, I was SO BORED that I decided to create 30 different outfits. No item repeats. No shoe repeats. Just 30 completely different looks. I believe this was, by far, my most fun project as well as the most convenient! Now instead of spending 30 to 45 minutes getting ready in the morning, it only takes me 10 to 15! I chose this combination as my debut outfit just because I loved it so much. What better explanation to wear what you want to wear?

Again, thank you to all who stuck around as well as those who came around! It always astonishes me when my blog gains readers while I'm absent! Stay tuned! The next post will fill you in, instagram style, on all the outfits I've worn but haven't posted!

What I'm Wearing
Tan Linen Blazer: UK French Connection ($12)
Cream Pashmina Scarf: Forever 21 ($7)
Blue & Gold Necklace: Forever 21 ($7)
Cream Oversize Blouse: H&M ($15)
Blue High Waisted Boat Print Leggings: River Island
Cream Oxfords: Crown Vintage from DSW (my sister's closet)

These pictures are just a little bit of a white lie because they were taken during the second week of April! I've been so busy that I haven't really been able to tend to my blog the way I should! My finals start a week from now and end two weeks from now which also happens to be my birthday! I have to register for my classes for next semester and go through every single item in my closet so I can sell the things that don't fit me and the things I don't wear anymore. I hope to get it all done before May ends!

I just wanted to share this outfit with you all so a) you know I'm still alive, b) you can admire the wonderful photography thanks to my wonderful friend, Elton, and c) I can show you my high waisted leggings which I love with all my heart and that I bought from River Island (online, along with the Cheetah Print Top from the last post). I hope you like everything! And thank you everyone for being patient with me! <3

What I'm Wearing
Hair Flower: H&M ($3)
Earrings: Brooklyn Beauty Supply Store ($1)
Bracelets: Turquoise: F21 ($5) Wood: old (?)
Rings: Assorted
Sheer Tiger Print Bead-Embellished Dress/Top: H&M ($5)
Black High-Waisted Shorts: Macy's (gift)
Strappy Wedge Booties: BCBG (my sister's closet)

So, here's a little wardrobe secret that I learned when I started blogging:

Just because you bought it as a dress doesn't mean you must wear it as a dress.

And this statement goes for everything! I mean... there's only so many ways you can wear shorts... but almost everything else in your closet can be transformed into another piece, saving you money, time, and extending the life and use of most of your garments. I've turned a polka dot tube top into a bodycon skirt simply by pulling it down. This top is, as you can see, originally a dress (a beach cover up, I believe) and I didn't let that stop me from wearing it another way.

Once you open your eyes to trying different things, you'll see how your style and creativity evolve right before your eyes. I've worn dresses as headwraps, scarves as bandeaus, hairclips as bowties and many more! Try it! You'll love it!

Necklace: Forever 21 ($2)
White Button Down Shirt: Agaci ($5)

Day Eight & Nine:

I was intitailly going to skip day eight altogether just because I mistakenly combined it with day seven and the only accessory I have to jazz up my coats is a fer scarf/collar. With this decision, a sudden feeling of unfulfilment took over and I began to feel bad about this decision...so, I dressed up my coat by resting my fur collar on its lapel!

Day nine is an OTI (Open To Interpretation) outfit and here was our inspiration:

I knew I had the exact colors in my closet...just in a slightly different order.
