It's amazing how I can easily forget about the 40 million other items that exist in my closet once I purchase the item that I'd been "looking for all my life."

Because this skirt is so awesome, I want to wear it all the time but because it's such a unique item that is easily recognizable, I'm really trying to hold off from over-wearing it before it's able to really feel at home in my closet. #ItsAProblem

I knew it was going to be hot this day but, BOY oh BOY, I was not ready for the humidity!

Thankfully, my dress was airy, breathable, and cay-UTE! Hehe. I didn't plan on taking pictures of this outfit because I had to work, but my lovely photographer managed to capture several candids that I actually liked. (This is less about his skills and more about the terrible faces I make regularly.

Here's a tip, though: When wearing a black sleeveless dress, steer clear of green bra straps. I missed that memo... obviously. *facepalm*

Another BIG PLUS that has come of this challenge: I've literally planned my outfits for the next week (taking weather into consideration and all) so I just wake up and it's already planned out for me. Big time saver!

Day 7
I spent way too much time looking down at my outfit to make sure it looked okay...and you can see that from these pictures. So, in honor of my fake insecurity, I hereby name this constant action of mine: The "Check-Yourself-Before-You-Wreck-Yourself". That is a fitting name, no?

Day 8
As soon as I went out to take these photos, it started snowing. Sigh. I'm not ready for snow yet. Let me at least get through this 30x30. Ma'Nature, you hear me? It is brick city outside so I wear a coat every day but it wasn't until this day that I decided to switch it up. Instead of wearing my everyday black parka, I chose a coat that would serve as an accessory to the outfit. And.. I LOVE this coat. Pssst... peep the scarf? It's bringing all the solid colors of my outfit together into one big ole party. Here's the best part: it was $3.

Four days into the challenge and I am LOVING it. (I know, I know. Today, Nov. 4th, is technically day four and I'm only showing you outfits for the first two days. Bear with me people! I have a lot to do an not enough time to do it all!) It literally takes about 3 minutes or less to plan an outfit. It's amazing. I just look at my big compilation picture, think about the weather, the occasion (work, school, lunch, etc.) and voila! An an outfit appears!

Day 1
I find it important that I accessorize to give every outfit a unique personality. When limited to 30 items for 30 days, your imagination has to travel to uncharted realms.
Day one's realm: layered tights.

Day 2
You wouldn't believe it, but I thrifted the scarf for $3 and the skirt for $8. Am I lucky or what? Plus, there was something about this leather and silk combo that made me feel elegantly dangerous. Is that possible?
